2019 was a year when environmental campaigners made significant progress in raising public awareness and prompting corporate action. Many hoped that it would prove to be a tipping point for sustainability and that 2020 would see a continuation or even an acceleration of progress.
Then COVID happened, and the priorities of governments, corporations and individuals shifted away from sustainability. With attention now starting to turn towards societal and economic recovery, sustainability must retake its place at the top of government action lists.
